Linda Smith, Principal
Dr. Linda Smith, a veteran Okaloosa County educator, has completed thirteen years as a secondary school principal in the Twin Cities community. Supportive of the many activities in which Niceville students participate, Dr. Smith models her belief in the value of these activities for student personal and academic development through visibility and support. Known as a strong instructional leader, Dr. Smith strives to provide innovative programs with the needs of all students first and foremost.
Christy McInnis,
Assistant Principal
Ms. Christy McInnis is no stranger to NHS or to the Niceville community. As a matter of fact, she is a proud graduate of the class of 1985, having lived in Niceville since 1979. Ms. McInnis’ educational background began at Pryor Middle School in 1989. After teaching 11 years of middle school Language Arts, it was time to venture into the high school arena. She spent three years at Fort Walton Beach High School as an English teacher prior to coming to NHS as Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction. As Ms. McInnis begins her 7th year back with the Eagles, it is her continued wish to share not only her knowledge and expertise of curriculum but also her love for education, children and sharing with them the wonderful experiences of high school.
Grant Meyer, Assistant Principal
Mr. Grant Meyer began his career in education as a teacher at Fort Walton Beach High School. In 2001 he transferred to Niceville High School to teach honors social studies and coach wrestling and varsity football. In 2003, he became a social studies and physical education teacher as well as the head football coach at Lewis Middle School. After three years, Mr. Meyer returned to his high school alma mater and was later appointed assistant principal early in 2006. Mr. Meyer is committed to the success of Niceville High School. He lives in Niceville with his wife and two sons.
Craig Miller,
Assistant Principal
Mr. Craig Miller began his teaching career at Meigs Middle School. While at Meigs Mr. Miller taught Talented and Gifted Social Studies and served as the head coach for the boys’ basketball and baseball teams. Mr. Miller is currently pursuing his Educational Doctorate in Administrative Studies through the University of West Florida. Mr. Miller lives in Niceville with his wife and two daughters.
